FlashSack FAQs

The best way to see FlashSack in action is to watch our FlashSack Video

How does FlashSack work?

FlashSack uses the latest low-power electroluminescent wire technology to deliver bright and colourful bands of light. All wiring is hidden inside the lining of each bag. Further information on EL Wire can be found on wikipedia.org

Why do FlashSacks use reflective material too?

As well as EL Wire, we wanted to make our products as highly-visible as possible. We only use 3M Scotchliteâ„¢ Reflective Material in all of our products (as worn by emergency services personnel across the globe). 3M Scotchlite is certified to European Standard EN13356 and CE marked, ensuring the best possible quality, visibility & safety for you.

Will my FlashSacks make me more visible at night?

As well as being fun, FlashSacks are designed to make you more visible at night. Please remember that they should only be used in conjunction with other appropriate safety equipment. You can purchase 3M Scotchlite Safety Products directly from our website.

How strong are FlashSacks?

FlashSacks are made from tough 600 denier nylon, the same material as many sports bags and rucksacks. The development and testing of FlashSacks has taken several years. We have put them through rigorous testing in tough real-life situations. Each electrical connection is tested to over 6KG of force on each wire.

How many batteries does a FlashSack need?

Every FlashSack requires 4 x AAA batteries (not supplied). We only recommend the use of good quality batteries, such as Duracell.

How long will the batteries last?

We have tested each FlashSack model and the batteries last up to 24 hours. In our lab FlashSacks have run for over 24 hours with very little loss of brightness.

How do I care for my FlashSack?

Each FlashSack is supplied with complete instructions for care. Please read all instructions and safety notices prior to use.

Do FlashSacks have a guarantee?

Yes, all FlashSacks are supplied with a 12-month guarantee (excluding batteries). In the unlikely event of a problem, please contact us so that we may assist you.

Remember, FlashSacks should only be used in conjunction with other appropriate safety equipment.
